US Foreign Policy and International Affairs
UNH Political Science Professor and Program Director for International Affairs Jennifer Spindal will discuss her research in international security which focuses on questions of power and relationships that attempt to explain how the arms trade is a form of signaling in international politics. Her work on civil-military relations examines how perceptions and narratives about the military shape the willingness to use force and support different foreign policy options, and her policy work applies this to questions of the defense industry and military strategy.
