American Discovery Trail – presented by Eric Howard

Eric Howard, Executive Director of the American Discovery Trail, will speak about a x-country relay race to celebrate America’s 250th birthday starting in California at the Golden Gate Bridge on July 4th and concluding at the Atlantic Ocean 150 days later on Thanksgiving. The American Discovery Trail runs 6800 miles coast to coast, linking Cape Henolopen State Park, Delaware to Point Reyes National Seashore, California. Managed by the American Trail Society, it traverses 23 distinct ecosystems including deserts, mountains, forests, prairies, and coastal areas and provides a cultural, historical, and natural heritage experience.
