Maine State Music Theater “Anastasia,” Brunswick, ME 

Boxed lunch on board the Amtrak Downeaster 

Departure: Durham Train Station 9:30 AM Approximate time of return: 7:40 PM 

We’ll be travelling to Brunswick on the Downeaster to the Pickard Theater on the Bowdoin College campus to enjoy Maine State Music Theater’s performance of “Anastasia.” The musical is a captivating journey of self discovery and adventure inspired by the legend of the lost Russian princess.

Please be at the train station in Durham at 9:30 AM. When you arrive you’ll be given instructions on where to park your car. Boxed lunches from The Works will be at the train station. You will have to pick yours up before boarding and enjoy it on the train before we arrive in Brunswick. Choices include (1) Turkey with field greens, onion, tomato and sprouts; (2) Ham & cheese with field greens, onion, tomato and sprouts; (3) Cape Cod chicken salad; (4) Farmer’s Veggie and cheese. All lunches will include a bag of chips, bottle of water, cookie and an apple.

The morning train will arrive in Brunswick at 12:10 PM. The theater is a short walk (1/5 mile) from the train station. No need to rush; there will be a little time to relax before and after the performance (which begins at 2:00 PM). The train home departs Brunswick at 5:45 PM (the last train of the day) and arrives back in Durham at 7:40 PM. Snacks and drinks are available at the train station and on board.
